New Orleans Booking Releases Online

The OPSO Docket Master system is the main public tool for searching live booking release data in New Orleans. It connects directly to the Orleans Justice Center booking database and shows current custody status, charges, bond amounts, and court dates for anyone held in OPSO custody. This system is more detailed than many parish LAVINE rosters and is updated in real time.

VINELink at vinelink.com lets anyone register for free automatic alerts when a specific person's custody status changes at the Orleans Justice Center. The service runs around the clock and supports over 200 languages. Call 1-866-528-6748 for help registering or for live status checks.

What New Orleans Booking Records Show

New Orleans booking records are public under Louisiana Revised Statute 44:3(4)(a), which makes the booking of a person under Louisiana Code of Criminal Procedure Article 228 a public document. The public portion of a booking record includes the person's name and identifying information, the charges filed, the booking date and time, and the location of the alleged offense.

OPSO booking records may also include bond amounts, court dates, and case numbers linked to the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court. The Docket Master system connects booking data with court records, making it possible to track a case from arrest through court proceedings using a single search. Records tied to active investigations or pending criminal litigation are not public under R.S. 44:3 and may be withheld by OPSO while cases remain open.

Note: A booking records an arrest, not a conviction. Everyone held at the Orleans Justice Center is presumed innocent unless a court determines otherwise.
